Other politicians want to spend your money, Tina wants to protect it.
Currently the Deputy State Auditor in the Office of the State Auditor, Tina has had a successful 30-year career in accounting.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner for 28 years, Tina used her management accounting background (CMA) and specialization (EA) in Federal, State, Local and Employment taxation to represent countless individuals and small businesses owners across Utah. When State Auditor John Dougall asked Tina to join the Audit Managment Team in his office, it was a perfect blend of her passion for honest, ethical government and her accounting skills.
When elected she will continue the important work of the Office of the State Auditor to be a watchdog for Utah Taxpayers by providing an independent assessment of financial operations, statutory compliance, and performance management of state and local governments.

Ms. Cannon is an exceptional candidate for the next Utah State Auditor. She has proven herself to have the ethics, perseverance, initiative, and the intellectual creativity necessary to serve the people of Utah. She has the strength and ability to speak truth to power.
Ms. Cannon and I share a passion for ethical government. During her time as an elected representative, she distinguished herself by bringing more accountability and transparency to county financial reporting processes. She has
led efforts to educate other elected county officials across Utah to mitigate fraud and strengthen financial controls. As a member of my staff, her work, research, and audits have brought greater accountability and transparency to property valuations, school and court fees, transient room taxes, and DEI policies.
It is my pleasure to endorse Tina Cannon for Utah State Auditor
Holding government accountable is critical for the State of Utah and that is why I am voting for Tina Cannon for State Auditor. She has made it her mission to hold government accountable. She strives to improve transparency, so Utah’s taxpayers better understand how their tax dollars are being spent.
She hit the ground running in the Auditor’s Office and spearheaded a project focused on property tax valuation and transparency. All to help us, Utah’s citizens, enjoy the quality of life we love here. She truly is the watchdog we need in the State Auditor’s Office. Join me in voting for Tina Cannon for State Auditor.
